Fresho has landed at #63 in this year’s FoodTech 500, an annual ranking that celebrates innovation where food, tech, and sustainability meet. The 2024 list was unveiled at Google’s London HQ and marks the sixth year of recognising forward-thinking companies shaping the future of food.
This year’s competition was fierce, with over 1,420 companies from 80+ countries applying for a spot. The FoodTech 500 is curated by Forward Fooding, a platform that uses data and collaboration to drive progress in the food and beverage industry.
Companies on the list are selected based on a combination of factors, including their work across eight core areas and 34 niche sectors spanning the entire food supply chain. Each is also tagged with more than 170 technology indicators, making it easier to understand how they’re innovating — from business models and tech stacks to market applications.
Fresho CEO and co-founder James Andronis commented:
“We are delighted to be recognised in this year’s FoodTech 500 along with other innovators in the food supply chain. The Fresho platform is already helping almost 1,000 fresh food distributors to operate more efficiently and sustainably in the US, Europe and Australasia. These businesses are themselves innovators, deploying our AI-powered solutions to provide next-level service to their foodservice customers. Our increased platform investment, particularly in AI, will unlock significant additional value for these businesses in the coming months”.
